10 years later

on saturday night i had my 10 year class reunion. i cant believe how fast time flies. but it was alot of fun to see faces that i havent seen for ten years. i am grateful for the good friends that i have stayed in touch with and i love them.

camping

the last two weekends tyler and i took the girls camping the first weekend we went up to echo the girls were great they loved sleeping in a tent, they slept great and we all stayed plenty warm. they loved the tubing and actually tyler was able to get stella and claire both out on the waterskies.

well the second weekend did not go as well. this time we went up with my family to east canyon. the girls had fun roasting marshmellows and went to bed really good. but by the time i went back into the tent around 11:00 pm i woke annie up. and she did not want to go back to sleep. she cried and cried and cried. i know everyone around us was thinking who are those idiots that brought the baby camping. anyway i finally took her to the car and tried to sleep with her in there so there was some sound barrier but i didnt have too much sucess with that either. finally around 12:30 am tyler came to the car and said just take her home. so i did the last thing tyler said was do you know how to get home. which i did if it were day time. well to sum things up, i missed the correct turn and ended up about 30mins out of park city. by this time i was in tears and ticked off at every possible thing. i finally got back on route i made it home at 2:00am and both annie and i were in our beds asleep at 2:02am.

then the next morning we woke up and headed back up to east canyon. lets just say were going to retire the tent until next summer.

up up and away

when i heard that sandy city was hosting their first annual balloon festival i was so excited. i remember going to the park city balloon festival when i was little and thinking it was so neat. so, i was thrilled to take the girls. on saturday morning, we woke up really early and were there at 6:30 am. well lets just say next time i will be alittle more prepared. at 6:30 in the morning the sun is not up yet so my girls were freezing and whinning. note to self take jackets next year. we arrived thinking that we would be getting there right when the action started, but next year i think i will let the girls sleep a little longer. the balloon didnt start filling up until about 7:15am. and never stand right next to the balloon with a two year old when they start heating it with the fire. they go bananas ( scared to death) it makes a really loud sound in addition to shooting out fire. claire cried everytime she heard it and annnie about crawled right out of my armseach time she heard it.
But after the sun came out, the balloons started filling up and hot air balloons where all over, we had a great time and cant wait until next years.
