First Day of First Grade

Stella had her first day of first grade this week. She was
a little bit nervous but mostly excited. I cant believe she is
already gone and at school all day long. I was told over and over
how quickly time goes by and I am amazed how fast it really does.
I was pretty good up until the night before she started school, and I was
at the grocery store buying items for her school lunch, and then it hit me
and I was chocking up at Smiths Grocery. Its just a hard thing that every mom
goes through when they send their child to all day school. I guess its because you
spend every waking moment caring for your child and then its time to send them off
on their way, where they have to fend for themselves. Stella was ready to go and she
came home loving it. Hopefully we can keep it that way.
Heres to a good year of first grade!

Frienemies

Addy and Annie three months apart, can be the best of friends
or the worst of enemies. Although they look like two peas in a pod their personalities
are quite different, mainly because Addy is a first child and Annie is a third, doesnt that
just say it all. Think of all the fun times these two cousins have ahead of them.

How would you react?

I had considered myself so lucky to have 3 girls and never have had any problems with scissors.
Well things can change so quickly, which means I must have a three year old. Last week
I walked into the play room to find Annie hiding behind the small refrigerator, with a terrified look on her face and a new hair cut. Blake her little buddy and Annie were playing beauty salon and while Annie was playing with the pretend scissors, Blake grabbed the real scissors and went to town. So I ask you, how would you react? I feel like one side of my brain was saying "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! you are in so much trouble." while the other side was saying " Its only hair it will grow back, it could have been worse." Sadly to say I went with the side that was acting a little irrational. But can you blame me. It's been a week now and I have figured out a few ways to hide it, or I should say make it look not as bad. Its going to be a long year or two until we get it all grown out again.
Although Tyler thinks its pretty neat that Annie has taken to the mullet like he did in high school.

It's boy short and that is just one side. Oh well at least it is the same on both sides.

Happy 3rd Annie

Annie turned 3 last week. All she wanted was a rocket ship, although she got a little Einsteins rocket I think the make-up kit was her favorite. I also made her a little fort/tent that fits over the kitchen table, which has already provided many hours of fun.
Annie is so fun to have around. If you have been around her you know what i am talking about. I could listen to her little voice for hour ( which I do) and laugh and laugh. She talks with such determination, and says the most funny things. I never have to worry about Annie starving, in fact i am more worried about my other kids starving because Annie always gets to their food before they can. Annie always keeps our life exciting, if you don't hear her, you better go looking and be prepared for what you are about to find.
Happy Birthday Annie I cant believe you are 3!

Art Show

This past year stella has been taking an art class. Their show was last night and Stella did such
a good job. Its so fun to watch your kids find something they enjoy doing.

Rainy Days and Koolaid

The girls and their friends were dying to sell koolaid a few weeks ago.
It was during our cold and wet spell. But after saying no so many times I finally said
ok- but you have to do it all. So without any help they carried out the table , made the koolaid and made a sign. They made $2.oo and had a great time doing it.
How could you pass by these cute girls without buying a cup of koolaid.
