I Love New York

Lisa (my sister), Lindsey (my sister in law) and I went to New York for a couple days,
a few weeks ago and lets just say I needed a vacation from my vacation.
We did, saw, and walked so much, but had the time of our
lives. Early mornings, Late nights I would not have done
it any different. The only thing that would have been better, would have been having Becca there.
The first night we got in about 6pm and were staving so we headed to Schnippers
it was a super good hamburger shoppe.
And then onto Cafe Lalo(from You've Got Mail) for dessert- Key Lime Cheese cake-yum so good.
Day 2
Getting on the subway for a fun filled day.
Cute Christmas Decorations
Of course we had to hit the Today show first thing.
I thought it was so fun. It was freezing cold!
We got a picture with Meridith Veaira

We went to Magnolia bakery for hot chocolate and muffins and also for a chance to thaw out.

Rockefeller Plaza
We made it back just in time to see Donald Trump, can I say he is one ugly man. Not only is his hair hideous but his fake tan could not have been more orange.
As he was walking off of the plaza, we asked if we could get a picture with him. He said sure and came over and huddled with the three of us. We handed our camera to a girl behind us, who clearly has never used a camera before. We were so bothered, we could have had such a great picture. Oh well it only was The Donald.
Instead we got a great shot with Natalie Morales- I think she is beautiful.
We also got in on the Dr. Oz show, which I have seen but, don't watch regularly. It was so interesting watching behind the scenes. Not sure when its going to air, but I got a lot of on air time in the audience.
Lunch at SaraBeths right across the street from Central Park.
Central Park

Ralph Laurens daughter has a candy store called Dylans Candy Bar.
They had every kind of candy imaginable.

Plaza Hotel
I loved the Christmas Decorations lining the City
Had to stop by FAO Schwartz
Rockefeller Tree
And of course the American Girl Store, which is amazing and totally expensive. Since when did I think it was a good deal to get a sweater for A DOLL for $16? Luckily I came to my senses before the purchase.
Time Square

Another fantastic Dinner- My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

Day 3
HAD to hit the Today show again, what else are you going to do in NY at 7am?
Did I mention it was freezing?

Sara Hugh-Olympic Gold Medalist was there performing.
She really must have been an icicle after that!
Next on to Top Of The Rock (Rockefeller Building)

Grand Central Station Macy's
It was so festive and fun
I was told that we had to go see Santa at Macy's so after an hour wait we finally were able to sit on Santa's lap. It really was quite an amazing production.

Next was ground zero-unbelivable.
Wall Street
Another delicious meal- Angelino's in Little Italy

Rocketts! It was such a fun show. But after walking around all day, I had a really hard time not falling asleep. It may have been the most expensive nap I have ever had.

Cupcakes from Crumbs in Time Square. Cant remeber the last time I ate a cupcake at 11:00pm
let alone just sitting at a table watching people at 11:00pm.
Day 4
Breakfast at Norma's at Le Parker Meridian Hotel.
Check out The Zillion Dollar Frittata!

Christmas Market at Central Park
Lindsey found some super cute stockings
We became very familiar with the subway. I was very impressed with Lisa and Lindsey, they studied that thing and never lead us astray. I was more just along for the ride, and followed behind closely.
Washington Park
So Pretty

Walking across the Brooklyn Bridge
Had the best pizza ever at Grimaldi's in Brooklyn well worth the walk and wait.
Day 5
Sunday- Outside the Temple
Levan Bakery
Seinfield Cafe
Brunch at Community Food and Juice
If it seems like all we did was eat, its true!
Where we stayed
What a fun trip. I dont think it would have been as much fun without these gals!
