A few weeks ago my sister in law Miki posted on her blog how she found a tarantula crawling across the lawn of her front yard. A week before that her sister in law found a snake in her house. So she said beware to the rest of the family. Well thanks a lot to Miki we were jinxed. Sunday morning Tyler was loading the girls in the car for church and happened to look down on the floor of our garage just as he was stepping over a baby rattlesnake. If you know anything about snakes which I don't, but found out that baby rattlesnakes are very dangerous. They supposedly don't know how to control their venom and are deadly if they strike. So Tyler quickly killed the snake and later showed all the neighbor kids.
The thing that is ironic, is that the day before we were up at This is the Place and saw a gardner snake. We showed the girls and Tyler thought it would be fun to pick it up. I was in the back having a cow but trying to keep my calm. Tyler went on saying how it is fine and not dangerous, it cant do anything. So when we saw the rattlesnake it looked really similar to the gardner snake in size. Needless to say our Family Night tonight included snake safety, we should never touch a snake, Dad should not have picked up the snake the day before and if you do find one quickly go get mom or dad (preferably dad ).
My only concern is, if there is one baby snake is there another? Hopefully I wont find out. But I cant go out to my garage without searching the floor first.

Tyler is such a stud, I would have pooped on myself.

The nice thing about Bear Lake was that we could LEAVE the spiders there. Having it at your own house...now that is a whole new ball game.
I am so sorry! Yuk!
Freaky! We're glad you all survived and that Tyler was home.
Now that is seriously scary. Knowing my boys they would have tried to pick it up too. Your girls are brave.
