First Day of First Grade

Stella had her first day of first grade this week. She was
a little bit nervous but mostly excited. I cant believe she is
already gone and at school all day long. I was told over and over
how quickly time goes by and I am amazed how fast it really does.
I was pretty good up until the night before she started school, and I was
at the grocery store buying items for her school lunch, and then it hit me
and I was chocking up at Smiths Grocery. Its just a hard thing that every mom
goes through when they send their child to all day school. I guess its because you
spend every waking moment caring for your child and then its time to send them off
on their way, where they have to fend for themselves. Stella was ready to go and she
came home loving it. Hopefully we can keep it that way.
Heres to a good year of first grade!

I can't believe that Stella is in first grade! Hudson will go to
Pre-K this year, He wil go everyday on the bus! I almost started crying about it the other day when I thought of him riding the bus all by himself and eating breakfast at school! They grow up so fast. It was so fun to see you guys! Miss you! JoJo

She already had her first day? I'm guessing you didn't get her switched to the track that you wanted? Geez, that was one short summer! She looks so big in that first picture!

Wow, you guys are starting school already??? Is it year round? It is crazy how fast time goes, I still remember when she was a tiny baby in Lexington. that doesn't seem so long ago.

I had a much harder time with 1st grade than I ever did with kindergarten. You feel like you have lost a little bit of your little girl when they are gone all day. Its so exciting for them but a little bit heartbraking for us.

I cried when Jonah went to a fun summer camp/preschool thing for 4 hours for the first time last year and I cried again when Wyatt joined him this year. Kindergarten is all day here in Iowa so I'm glad we'll be moving back west before Jonah starts. That's just too long to not have your 5 year old around in my opinion.
