Stella Turns Eight

She was baptized on February 26th by her Dad

What a special day, Stella was just beaming and has never looked so grown up.
It is hard for both Tyler and I to believe that our little girl is getting so big.

I gave Stella the option to either have a birthday party with her friends, or she could go see Grandma and Grandpa for the weekend. It really was a no brainer for her.
SO we hopped onto a plane and flew to Las Vegas for the weekend.

Stella loved the one on one time she was able to spend with
Grandma and Grandpa. I dont think there is any toy or trinket that would
match the memories or enjoyment she had while we were there.

Sunday Night Elder Costa and his wife came over to the mission home for dinner.
He was speaking at a fireside for all the missionaries in the area.
It was just the 6 of us at dinner, very nice and enjoyable. I told Stella that she is so lucky to
be able to have dinner with an apostle of the Lord, and especially the night before her 8th
birthday. It was something I hope she never forgets, I know I wont.

Not only was it fun for Stella to spend time with Grandma and Grandpa, I
loved spend time with Stella alone.

While we were in Las Vegas, Stella had birthday money burning a hole in her pocket. So we
shopped, and shopped. The big items were: chapsticks, earings, a huge eraser for school, shoes, American Girls books and a few crafts. I think it was a sucessfull trip.
Happy Birthday Stella!

Holy cow I can't believe she is 8! It looks like you guys had anfun trip I am sure she won't ever forget it$
She looks so gorgeous in those first photos! And she looks so much like you when I first remember you--around third grade, right?
And what a fun trip to do just with her.
cannot believe she's 8! seems like we were all in Kentucky yesterday and she was teeny tiny. my kids saw the photos though and instantly knew your kids from bear lake. let's have another get together this year.
We were sure glad that you came to visit...we loved having you here!
Stella is so cute! I am so glad you were able to spend some one on one time with her. I took a trip alone with Noah before Jonas was born and it is one of my favorite memories with him. I hope you are doing well! I miss you!
It's great seeing all your kids on here! Time flies and 4 kids later...so happy things are going well for you guys! Leah
