Stella

i have been meaning to blog about this for some time now, but i am finally getting around to it. you know how december is.

about two weeks ago we got out all of our christmas boxes out and started unpacking them and decorating the house. my girls were so excited, they have their favorite things that they love to pull out and set in its place. well while pulling out the stocking i mentioned to stella that we should put our names on the stockings so santa will know whos is whos ( i was thinking a cute little stich or something). it was only about 45 seconds after that, when stella said look mom i put my name on my stocking. i looked over at her stocking and about died. she had written her name on her stocking with a black sharpie. I dont think i handled the sitution very well, i gave her my biggest and saddest guilt trip and then i walked over to the stocking and turned it around, which made her feel horrible. But I was sick in my stomach.

after telling the story to my family they all made me realize how cute it was and that i will alway have her 4 year old writing on her stocking, which is true. any way i feel so bad about the way i acted, hopefully she wont have a complex about her stocking forever. but looking on the bright side there will never be any question to which stocking is stellas.

One time my mom told me I was a mess in the kitchen, and I've never forgotten that. Then again I was 20, not 4--and it's kind of true. I think Stella will be fine.
